Moms Birthday Cake

This past weekend we celebrated my mom's birthday. No I won't say the age, thats her
business, but with Tim's passing I knew she didn't want to make a big deal out of it. So I
kept it simple with my first basketweave cake. Like all the other designs before this, I just
winged it and I don't think it turned out that bad.

Steak Cake

We had an order for a steak cake today! Strawberry cake with strawberry filling and chocolate fondant.

Girly Birthday Cake Pops

I've been improving my cake pop skills lately. If you saw my first attempts they looked horrible, but have no fear, its getting better. Here are some pics from an order I had this afternoon. They said pink and girly and this is them! The thing I really like about cake pops is you can ship them all over the US, which my relatives out of state appreciate to the fullest.

I've found my passion in life and it is baking and in particular, cupcakes. It's pure coincidence how I've fallen into this passion but I'm so glad I did. My dream is to open my own bakery and hopefully one day that'll happen for me. I'm just starting out doing local catering and delivery orders.
